LFW Winter/Festive in September

Lakme Fashion Week’s winter/festive 2010 event will be held from September 17 to 21 at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The event will have India’s most talented designers in pret and couture showcase their collections. International buyers will have a taste of unique Indian workmanship and design during the event. In the last few years, there has been a turnaround in the Indian fashion industry. Indian designers and apparel have made their presence felt across the globe.

The festival and wedding market has high business demand all around the year, and it peaks in the months of October to January. Positioning LFW Winter/Festive 2010 in line with the customer buying season will not only help designers boost their business, but also showcase trends of the coming season. This will complete LFW’s strategic shift and be a landmark in the world of fashion.

LFW shows have been renamed summer/resort and winter/festive from this year to mark a strategic shift in focus on current or upcoming seasons and to customize the fashion week platform.
