Designer Neeta Lulla was felicitated with the ‘SME Entrepreneur of the Year’ award at Franchise
India Small Business Awards 2010. The awards show organized by Franchise India and Ernst and Young recognizes excellence in small industries. The function also had a fashion presentation by Neeta Lulla who showcased a special line of her collection.
Neeta Lulla has a significant retail presence across India as well as globally. She also has a huge impact on the Indian fashion over the last two decades due to her association with Bollywood and consistency in producing ensembles with superb style and quality. She started as an assistant to former Indian fashion choreographer Jeanne Naoroji in the late 1980s. After gaining experience, she started her first venture in Bollywood with the film Tamasha designing for Kimi Katkar. However, with Lamhe, where she gave Sridevi a simple yet elegant look, she won a national award for designing great attire. Neeta Lulla has also worked for Hollywood. After designing for movies and the who's who of the industry, the designer has moved a step further and launched a flagship store in Mumbai.
The Neeta Lulla brand is also one of India’s first designer brands to launch an online shopping format and has also tie-ups with leading online shopping stores in India. Apart from this the brand also has interests in fashion education and art. |
