WIFW to be held from October 23

The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) (spring/summer 2011) dates have been announced. It will be held from October 23 to 27, 2010, New Delhi. Hosted by the India's apex fashion body, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the event will be held in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. "WIFW brings a new season of refreshing talent, exciting color palettes and clothing construction. This edition of WIFW will open doors to manifold trade opportunities through larger participation by designers, buyers, sponsors and the fashion fraternity," FDCI president Sunil Sethi said.

The fashion week aims to serve as an effective platform to promote fashion design and provide industry professionals the opportunity to form trade linkages within India and globally. With a nationwide chain of 50 exclusive specialty stores in 30 cities, Wills Lifestyle offers a complete lifestyle wardrobe for the premium consumer, incorporating the latest fashion trends for both men and women.

Auditions for the fashion week have successfully introduced the likes of Neha Kapur, Monikangana Dutta and Lisa Haydon to the fashion fraternity. The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is Asia’s leading fashion trade event. In addition to exquisite lounges, plush salons, exotic on-site restaurants and novel exhibition café counters, visitors will be provided a dedicated valet service.

For over a decade the FDCI, India’s apex fashion body, has played an important role in promoting some of India’s best young talent who have grown to become household names today.
