DLF Brands plans multi-brand stores

DLF Brands, a subsidiary of realty major DLF plans to launch multi-brand retail stores to sell international fashion labels under one roof. It would introduce up to five such stores every year. DFL Brands currently operates standalone stores for 11 global brands in India, which include Armani, Boggi, Alcott, DKNY, Claire and Mothercare, while it is in talks with other international brands to bring them into India.

The first such store will be launched in Delhi by the end of this year. Every multi-brand store would require an area of 10,000 to 15,000 sq. ft. with an investment of up to Rs 15 crores. Apart from this, the company is also planning to enter into beauty and wellness category and enhance presence in home segment, where it has a presence under its own brand Pure & Living.

Though the MBOs are being planned, the company would also focus on retail expansion of its existing 11 brands by opening standalone stores. It’s looking at doubling the count in next three years.
