DLF Brands signs up Uniworld Logistics

DLF Brands, the retail management subsidiary of DLF Ltd tied up with Uniworld Logistics for managing the logistics of DLF?s premium lifestyle brands. Uniworld Logistics would partner DLF Brands in North India and the portfolio includes DKNY, Mother Care and Early Learning Centre.

According to Dipak Agarwal, Chief Financial Officer, DLF Brands, the Indian fashion and lifestyle retail market is expected touch $50 billion by 2015. On an average the fashion and lifestyle retailers spend around 3-6 per cent of their top line on logistics and supply chain. Efficient logistics play a key role in saving costs and they hope to do the same through their tie-up with Uniworld Logistics.

According to M Prem Kumar, MD and CEO, Uniworld Logistics, fashion logistics is a composite operating system created by their years of experience, knowledge and tricky business intelligence about what, where and how of moving the stuff in the fashion industry.
