Titan to retail leather accessorie​s

Titan, best known for its watches is now looking at adding leather accessories to its list of products. These include leather belts and wallets. The brand has already begun test-marketing these products in Bangalore. Though it already has accessories like belts, wallets, bags and sunglasses under its Fastrack range, they are targeted at the youth. With the Titan accessories range, it plans to explore the smart casual segment targeted at consumers in the age group to 25-30 years.

Titan Industries has earmarked a capital expenditure of Rs 238 crores for the current financial year, which would be invested in bettering the IT infrastructure within the company apart from its manufacturing facilities and marketing. Besides, the company is also exploring possibilities of taking the brand to Indonesia. Titan watches are being exported to South Africa, which contributes 10 per cent of the company’s overall watch business. In the domestic market, it plans to expand its premium multi-brand watch retail store Helios to 40 outlets by the end of the current fiscal from the current 14.
